This piece emerged as I contemplated the events of the past year. After many layers of oil paint were applied with intuitive mark making, I sensed a moodiness. As I felt led to turn my musings toward the future, I began to feel hopeful. The gold leafing reflects this sense of hope. Hope and joy can be born out of heartbreak…it just takes layers of time and intention to heal.
